Bachelor of Business Administration

Accounting Major

Program Description

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) degree, or BBA, is an industry-recognized program designed to meet the growing demand for baccalaureate degree-level accounting professionals in southern Alberta and beyond. The BBA offers career-minded students the opportunity to develop the practical accounting skills and theoretical knowledge that are highly desired by employers. Areas of study include: core business and accounting courses, as well as ethics, communication, research, and more.

This program differs from traditional Bachelor of Commerce degrees in that graduates will have completed all requisite core business and accounting courses needed to satisfy the educational requirements of the three professional accounting designations: Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Upon graduation, students will have excellent employment prospects and will have the option to pursue graduate-level studies other post secondary institutions. Our highly-qualified, experienced instructors are committed to student success. Our small class sizes allow you to fully engage with your instructors in a learner-focused, technologically-enriched environment.
